Comparing the Plastic Diaper with the Cloth Diaper and their Relation with Nappy Rash

A debate has always been going on, whether a plastic diaper is better or the cloth diaper is better in terms of not coating any nappy rash( we Danes call them baby rd numse udslt) on the skin of the baby. Talking about the cloth diaper first, people are not sure about how it originated and how this concept came in. It is said that the first diaper made of cloth was actually a sheet of soft tissue that was cut in various patterns. These thin tissue sheets patterns were known as diapering, and this led to the shape and name getting specific, and now they are called diapers. Then diapers (or God rd om bleskift in Danish) started being produced in an enhanced version, and in the 20th century the diapers that we see today, started being used. Now, with the advancement going on, modern cloth diapers have small line patterns on them. These patterns are specially made to allow the distribution of urine in the cloth, till it gets absorbed by the later beneath, and stays there. Sometimes, the poo or the pee of the baby does not get absorbed completely by the cloth diaper. That is why parents tie these with clippings around the legs of the baby and around the waist, to ensure that it is tight enough to prevent the dirty thing from coming out or leaking from the diaper. Modern cloth diapers also include some indicators, for instance when the diaper turns wet, its color changes. Many parents who have done the diaper changing task many times, are also aware of how the look of the baby's face indicates that the diaper is wet and it should get changed as soon as possible. Some modern diapers also have oils in them that prevent the spreading of the smell of the baby's pee or poo, and also sooth the skin, thus preventing nappy rash. Also, talking about the cloth diapers; it is known that nappy rash can be avoided with these, since they are soft and smooth. When you talk about cloth diapers, you will see that they are cost effective since you can reuse them after washing. The material of the cloth diapers is either natural or manmade, and sometimes it may be a mixture of the two. They can also be made of cotton. These cloth diapers are now available in different shapes. Modern cloth diapers also include those that are waterproof from outside, and some even have pockets on the outside. So, overall, according to what majority of the people think, cloth diapers are way better than the other ones. One reason is that they can be recycled, but another reason is that they are also environmentally friendly. They do not pollute the environment. Plastic diapers pollute the environment and also cannot be recycled. They also need to be disposed as soon as possible. Plastic diapers also are a main cause of nappy rash, because of the chemical compounds present in them. Disposable diapers are mainly used by the urban population, since they can afford them. Those who have a low financial status go for the cloth diapers only.
